BLOWN-IN INSULATION SERVICES

BLOWN-IN INSULATION IN PORTLAND

Loose-fill or blown-in insulation consists of small particles of fiber, foam, or other materials that can be installed in your attic. These small particles form an insulation material that can conform to any space without disturbing structures or finishes. This ability to conform makes blown-in insulation well suited for retrofits and areas where it would be difficult to install other types of insulation.

The most common types of materials used for blown-in insulation include cellulose insulation and fiberglass insulation. Cellulose insulation is primarily made from recycled newsprint materials. Fiberglass insulation products contain 40-60% recycled fine glass material. We can provide both of these blown-in insulation options for homes and businesses in the Portland Oregon area.

TYPES OF BLOWN-IN INSULATION WE OFFER

  • Fiberglass: Fiberglass is the most common insulation material for attic installation. It’s made from fine glass fibers and is most often used in batts, rolls and loose-fill insulation.
  • Cellulose: Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newsprint paper products. Manufacturers generally add borate for fire and insect resistance.
